Art Clokey, the creative genius behind Gumby and Davey and Goliath has passed away, but his art will never be forgotten. Talk about inspiration! I was a HUGE fan of Gumby growing up. He inspired me to do my own claymations with the family camcorder as a kid. Some of the earlier Gumby stuff was weird, wacky, and bizarre… and I LOVED it! The Gumby Adventures from the eighties was totally cool too. I must say Pokey was my favorite character from the Gumby series. Mr. Clokey provided his voice in the earlier Gumby shows.
There’s an awesome history timeline of Art Clokey and his productions at http://www.premavision.com/studio/index_art.htm
