Main Street was a local monthly Magazine distributed to several towns in my area. My wife and I enjoyed the magazine and one column in particular... Tips From Pops. It was an advice column with the editor’s dad, Mr. “Pops” Stampone, giving all the wisdom and none of the hugs. After several months of reading the column, I realized it had the perfect formula to be turned into a comic. The simple question and answer could easily fill a one to three panel comic strip. When I read the “Pops” columns, I pictured different characters and situations to fit the questions being asked. I decided to draw a “Pops” strip for the Stampones as a Christmas gift, and they loved it. Main Street Editor, Albert Stampone, contacted me and I ended up doing the Tips From Pops comic strip from 2011-2013. Enjoy the entire collection of my advice column comic adaptaion of Tips From Pops!
